![]() We let each guest pick a pokemon card and one of these Pokemon Pez Dispensors. Once the kids had found all their allotted pokeballs, they came inside and we awarded them their official Trainer certificate and added more goodies to their favor bag. We then hid them in our backyard before the party and when it was time to “CATCH THE POKEMON,” the kids were set free to hunt and had an allotted amount they each could find. We did cut the tape in half and added a white circle to the top. We placed the mini pokemon figures inside the balls with some tootsie rolls and sealed them up with this black electrical tape. This was such a fun activity and the boys all loved it! I had ordered these colored vending machine balls and these Pokemon mini figures. ![]() These pokemon ball bags are a great one and done option! ![]() We knew we wanted to decorate bags before we did the pokemon hunt so they had something to put their pokeballs into. We printed a face on this sticker paper and had the kids finish the rest of his face. We got them ready with the favor tags (that we printed when we ordered our invitation) and drew on Pikachu’s nose and mouth. We just kept it flat on the ground to punch. To play the game, the kids took turns punching one of the cups and then collected the candy inside the cups. We decided to hot glue them onto cardboard so they wouldn’t move. We secured the tissue paper with rubber bands and placed them into position. My kids helped fill the cups with candy, then we placed the tissue paper that we had cut into squares over the top. We made this game the night before by getting red solo cups, candy, tissue paper (red, white, and black), and with elastics. Makes it easier to flip the images over and over during the game. *TIP: If you do this, attach the card to yarn/string and then tape the yarn/string to the wall. The kids loved it just as much this time. Matching was such a hit at the Mario party, we knew we had to do it again. When the music stops, all the kids rush to sit on a pillow, whoever doesn’t get a pillow it out! We had competitive little guys so we decided to take two pillows away each time so two people were out at once. If you don’t know how to play, the kids walk around the cushions that are placed together (one less or two less pillows than people in the game) in the center while music plays. We played musical cushions just like you would play musical chairs, but used pillow cushions instead on chairs because our guests were so little. You could create a bean bag toss from cardboard, have them toss into buckets, or knock down targets. We were lucky enough to snag these two pokeball displays that were empty from the store as targets for our toss games. When they were good at one ball, we added the second ball. The kids pass the pokeball around while music plays and when it stops, the person who has the pokeball in their hand is out. The first game was “HOT POKEBALL,” which we played just like hot potato. I ordered these these two Pokeballs and they were a great buy! We used them for two games during the party and then the birthday boy was so happy to own them. The finished result is pictured above! This game was a lot of fun for the kids! I wrote their names on the fire beforehand so we would know who went where. TIP: If you don’t want to make one yourself, here is a pin the tail on Pikachu that you can use for your party game. I decided to paint him, but just use what you have and make him colorful! I printed out fire tails on this sticker paper and then he was ready to color in. After they passed all their tests, we went on a “Pokemon Hunt” where each kid caught pokemon to take home (more on this later).Įveryone loves a good “pin the tail on something” game and since Charizard is a beloved Pokemon and has fire on his tail, he worked out perfectly! I watched this youtube video and was able to draw a pretty decent Charizard. NOW for the fun activities that we used to entertain all the kiddos! We centered the games around a Pokemon Trainer Training Camp where the kids had to complete certain tasks and demonstrate skills in order to pass and become official Pokemon Trainers by the end of the party. We just cut out half circles and connected them with black tape. This pokeball (pictured above) was easy to make with red and white butcher paper. ![]() TIP: If you are blowing up more than a few balloons, make your life easier and get this balloon buddy! It is a great investment! If you are interested, here are the links: We looked a few different places for Pokemon decor and Amazon definitely had the best price for the products we wanted. This will be a long post, but we figured keeping all of the activities and information in one place would be worth it! Hope you get some ideas that you can use if you ever get to have a Pokemon party!
